Documents RequiredPassport or Spanish ID card. Students under 18 travelling on Spanish ID cards also require a parental travel authorisation from a police station. For organisational reasons, we recommend that students use passports. It is up to parents to ensure that their children have the documentation required to attend these courses, in line with their personal circumstances, nationalities, etc. The College of the Holy Child Jesus assumes no liability in this regard . The FlightThe course fee covers air tickets and the return journey from the airport to the College. The course fee is calculated based on a maximum air fare of 400 €. Should the actual fare be higher, parents will be required to pay the difference. The sooner you register your child, the sooner flights can be booked, thus ensuring that prices can be maintained. Parents may, if they wish, purchase air tickets themselves. In this case, 325 € will be deducted from the course fee, but students must make their own way from the airport to the College and back unless their flight times coincide with those of the group booking made by the course organisers. The cost per journey to the College is around 60 pounds Sterling from London Gatwick airport, and around 100 pounds from Heathrow or Stansted. The College accepts no liability for excess baggage. Students must check the baggage weights permitted by the relevant airlines. The coach company restricts baggage to one suitcase weighing not more than 20 kg and one rucksack per person. Clothing recommendedAnorak or windcheater, 3 pullovers (1 wool & 2 cotton), 2 pairs of short trousers, 4 pairs of long trousers or skirts, 4 T-shirts, 4 shirts, 6 pairs of socks, 8 sets of underwear, 2 pairs of pyjamas or nightdresses, 1 swimsuit, 2 large towels and sports kit. MoneyThe course fee covers all expenses except the optional excursions. The only money that students are likely to spend is on gifts for their families and friends, excursions and personal expenses. The College therefore recommends that they bring 200 pounds for 2 weeks and 325 pounds for 4 weeks. Parents should hand over this money to their children. When they reach the College they may leave the money with the administration department, which will then hand it back to them according to their needs.
